Youth Mental Health Support - Headington The Opportunity: A warm and welcoming school in Headington and looking for a Youth Mental Health Support Worker This school pride themselves in facilitating a friendly and safe environment for their students The students at this school suffer from mental health difficulties that stem from anxiety and depression and have trouble regulating and processing their emotionsWhat is involved: As a Youth Mental Health Support worker you would be primarily involved in supporting these children with their emotional needs. You will be working with these students on a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting Supporting the class teacher with general classroom duties Helping to manage behaviour in the classroom Facilitating a fun and engaging learning environmentWhat is required: The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be an advocate for positive mental health As an individual you will be caring and compassionate You will be ready to take on a new challenge and make a difference Resilient and confident, able to adapt to changing situations easily as the students have varying needs and educational plans Experience within mental health is desirable but not essential Graduates welcome to apply!
