The students at this school suffer from mental health difficulties that stem from anxiety and depression and have trouble regulating and processing their emotionsWhat is involved:
As a Youth Mental Health Support worker you would be primarily involved in supporting these children with their emotional needs.
You will be working with these students on a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting
Supporting the class teacher with general classroom duties
Helping to manage behaviour in the classroom
Facilitating a fun and engaging learning environmentWhat is required:
The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be an advocate for positive mental health
As an individual you will be caring and compassionate
You will be ready to take on a new challenge and make a difference
Resilient and confident, able to adapt to changing situations easily as the students have varying needs and educational plans
Experience within mental health is desirable but not essential
