Workshop Manager - Northampton Area Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week We are looking for a skilled Workshop Manager with substantial experience in automotive management, particularly within main dealerships and premium car manufacturers. If you’re passionate about delivering excellence in service and team management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities: Manage the efficiency and utilisation of technicians and support staff to meet daily objectives. Oversee job card distribution and ensure timely, accurate job completion. Coordinate workshop loading, allocating jobs to the most suitable technicians. Complete all administrative tasks to a high standard, including processing job card write-ups and supporting invoicing. Drive departmental and personal targets through effective upselling and operational management. Lead and manage the team with confidence, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Proven track record as a Workshop Manager in a large, busy workshop, ideally within a premium brand main dealership. Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to effectively manage fully flexible working hours and staff rosters. Communication: Professional and approachable, with excellent communication skills to lead a team and interact with customers. Adaptability: Thrives under pressure, delivering consistent results in a fast-paced environment. A degree is preferred, but substantial professional experience will also be considered.
