Job Description
Are you an experienced Works Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to oversee construction operations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is key in managing resources, leading teams, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Job Overview:
Project Coordination & Planning
Work closely with Construction & Project Managers to develop detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
Coordinate activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines. Resource & Site Management
Oversee materials, internal plant, and workforce to maximise productivity and minimise waste.
Manage procurement, ensuring materials align with project specifications and budget constraints. Health & Safety Compliance
Implement and uphold strict health and safety protocols, fostering a secure working environment.
Conduct regular safety audits, address hazards, and enforce corrective measures. Quality Control & Assurance
Set and maintain high-quality standards, ensuring all work meets industry and client expectations.
Carry out inspections and compliance checks in line with project specifications and regulations. What You'll Need To Succeed:
Qualifications: A diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is desirable, as is professional accreditation
Experience: Proven track record as a Works Manager or in a similar leadership role within the construction industry, Civils and Earthworks experience
Certification: Valid and in-date CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS (or equivalent)
References: 2 checkable employer references
