Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Wood Machinist to join our team. Ideally with an existing knowledge of woodworking machines.
We have an extensive woodworking machine workshop that has various machines including 4 sided planer, wide sander, crosscut and band saws, re- saw, spindle moulder, edge-bander, beam saw and CNC machines. Many of our machines are computer based, so the ability to operate computer based machines is a requirement.
We are looking for a machinist to operate the various machines as required to meet customer orders. A high proportion of the work is bespoke, so the work is varied.
The job will include manufacture and construction of customer orders as well, for example; worktops and bar tops, table tops, benches, door casings, rail & stiled doors, shop fronts. A knowledge of timber species is a benefit, experience with woodworking machines is required.
Candidate must be able to work from CAD drawings & cutting sheets.
The successful candidate will be working in a small team, a flexible attitude is required to be able to switch around the various jobs as required to ensure we meet our customers requirements. A contentious and caring approach to work.
NVQ Level 3 in Wood machining
This position is full time and permanent.
