Job Title: Graduate Network Modeller or Network Modeller Salary: £26-43K Location: Somerset, UK Employment type: Permanent / Full-time / Hybrid Please note applicants would need to be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and already have UK sector experience to be considered. Are you a Network Modeller with a few years' experience seeking the next step on your career, or are you looking for an entrance into the profession where you will be a key member of the team that uses models to solve flooding and pollution problems? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Graduate Network Modeller or a Network Modeller! The role: Our client's specialist team of modellers is responsible for the delivery of water treatment, wastewater, and network projects across the region. The post includes the following responsibilities: Building and verifying integrated catchment models using INFOWORKS ICM. Using river quality modelling and survey results to assess the impact of discharges from combined sewer overflows (CSOs) Developing outline solutions to resolve hydraulic problems, using both sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and more traditional 'hard-engineering' approaches. Assessing the impact of significant house building on the existing sewer system and overflows. Report writing, project presentation and project management. Analysing and presenting data using Excel and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Project management of consultant led studies and joint partnership projects. Assist with the upkeep of a substantial digital model library What we are looking for: To be successful for both the trainee or experienced Network Modeller roles, you will have: Degree with a strong geographic, scientific or maths content Excellent IT and communication skills. In addition to this for the experienced Network Modeller role you will have at least two years' experience of wastewater modelling with INFOWORKS ICM.
