Job Overview:
Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations within a warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. This role is essential in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment, ensuring that products are readily available, accurately managed, and safely handled.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Goods
* Unload and unpack incoming deliveries and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices and other documents.
* Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors.
* Label and record incoming products in the inventory system.
Production:
* Accurately pick items based on assembly sheets or handheld devices.
* Ensure orders are complete and free from errors before dispatch.
* Follow company policy on best practice and SOP's for the production line.
Picking and Packing Orders
* Accurately pick items based on order sheets or handheld devices.
* Pack items securely and label packages for shipment.
* Ensure orders are complete and free from errors before dispatch.
Inventory Management
* Assist in organising and maintaining the warehouse layout to maximize efficiency and space.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory counts.
* Report stock shortages, discrepancies, and low-stock levels to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Order Fulfilment and Dispatch
* Prepare products for dispatch by ensuring packaging is secure and labelling is correct.
* Load and arrange shipments according to delivery schedules and transport methods.
* Work with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
General Warehouse Organisation and Maintenance
* Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and free of hazards and pests.
* Adhere to company safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues with machinery or tools.
