Job Description
Our client based in Wickford, Essex is looking for a Warehouse Goods In/ Goods Out Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of going permanent for the right candidate.
The hours of work for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday- Friday
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
Locating, picking and packing stock
Palletising and labelling goods ready for dispatch
Handballing (loading/ unloading goods)
checking receipt of deliveries against all relevant paperwork
Stock replenishment
Identifying and reporting incorrect deliveries and damages
Other ad-hoc warehouse duties/ potentially helping out in other departments within the warehouse
Warehouse maintenance (ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy)
Adhering to all health and safety policies and proceduresKnowledge and skills required for this role:
Forklift license is advantageous but not essential
Full driving license is advantageous but not essential
Ability to use a pump truck
Good attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload
Knowledge of health and safety warehouse procedures
Good work ethic, with a solid work history
