Job Description
Our client in Abergavenny are looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join them on a Temporary basis.
The role will be for between 3 and 12 weeks, and you will be working as part of a friendly and busy Warehousing team.
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Abergavenny
Hourly Rate: £12.00 per hour + holiday pay
Contract: Temporary (3-12 week period - covering a period of absence)
Hours: Monday to Friday / 8:30am-5pm (40 hours per week)
MAIN DUTIES:
Good in:
Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods
Receipt correct goods into the Warehouse management system and label goods
Signing the delivery form or 'booking in' goods into the internal systemStock control:
Allocating storage space to goods
Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery
Keeping records (often computerised) of goods, their location and quantity
Re-ordering if stock levels fall too lowGoods out:
Picking goods that have been ordered, and making them into kits
Preparing despatch notes and labels
Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery
Invoicing clientsEXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Warehouse experience would be highly desirable
Good problem-solving skills
Must be flexible in approach to the work as priorities/ customer demand change
Ability to work well as part of a team
A fast learner with excellent attention to detail
An appreciation of the importance of deadlines
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages (including word and excel)
Good timekeeping, reliability and adaptabilityBefore You Apply
