Job Description
Ocean Operations Team
* Plan collections in such a way to be most cost efficient
* Ensure all problems are reported and, where possible, rectified as quickly as possible
* Ensure the smooth running of all collections, shunts and transfers
* Plan collections with approved 3rd parties
* Ensure that all customer requirements are adhered to (e.g. time-constrained jobs)
* Keep in regular contact with 3rd party suppliers to monitor journeys and any potential issues.
* Including providing clients information on aspects such as traffic problems
* Ensure all collections are inputted onto Phoenix
* Arrange transfers between warehouses into loading depots.
* Co-ordinate “sweeps” to provide efficient costing on set days from areas such as Heathrow, Bradford & Newcastle
* Co-ordinate with the warehouse on day to day issues relating to container availbility and quay shunts.
* Check inventory reports to ensure cargo is availble ready for loads
* Support customer service, warehouse and operations with 3rd party loading
Experience Required
* Min 2 years LCL Transport/Warehouse experience
Computer Knowledge
* Good level of MS software and awareness industry tools & technological developments
