Job Description

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a dedicated VMware Engineer with enhanced DV clearance to join their team in Cheltenham on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Implementing and maintaining virtual environments using VMware technologies Providing operational support to resolve incidents and perform change activities Proactively managing and reactively supporting mission-critical secure environments Ensuring systems availability, resilience, and security within complex Windows server domain environments Administering and optimising related technologies such as networking, Linux, monitoring tools, and containerisation Supporting the safety and security of the nation through diligent management of virtualised environments Job Requirements: Experience with the VMware suite of products, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and ideally NSX Ability to manage complex Windows server domain environments Awareness of networking, Linux, monitoring tools, scripts, and virtualisation/containerisation technologies Proven track record of implementing virtualisation solutions within National Security Current enhanced DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance Contract Details: Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until 31/03/2025 (with likely extension) Location: Cheltenham, onsite 5 days per week If you are an experienced VMware Engineer with a commitment to supporting national security through advanced virtualisation solutions, we would love to hear from you.
