Job Description

Utilities Manager Salary: £47,321 per annum Location: Stratford, East London Recruiting on behalf of our Parks and Leisure Services client, we seek a practical and resourceful Utilities Manager who will engage in a variety of workstreams, delivering park utilities services and working on sustainability projects. The successful applicant needs to be an excellent communicator, have strong stakeholder management skills, work well in a team, be organised and deliver results. Accountabilities: * To collate and monitor all utility supply agreements, including a revision of the existing information and update when necessary, and be the first point of escalation. * To manage metered and unmetered supplies and update of existing records. * To develop and maintain contact within utility companies. * To monitor performance data to drive out efficiencies and generate savings. * Assisting in the negotiation of new arrangements as appropriate. * To prepare reports to identify energy savings. * To be the day-to-day contact for utilities including routine maintenance and emergency repairs. * To work with the FM Manager for day-to-day management of engineering and building services across the park, including buildings, roads and public realm. * To take an active role in the development, implementation and management of an energy strategy that reflects objectives and meets legislative compliance. * To request RAMs and other relevant H&S or project documentation to ensure works can proceed. * To act as project manager for nominated park projects. * To manage any allocated project budgets and support the finance processes. * To deputise for members of the team at meetings and chair or take minutes at meetings when required. * To support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. * To take reasonable care for the workforce health and safety. * Ensuring activities promote the value of a diverse workforce. * To take a proactive approach to self-development and performance improvement. Other details: * There is a performance-based incremental pay scale. * The probationary period is three months. * This is a full-time post, 37 hours per week. There is consideration for flexible working. * Employees are eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. * Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per year, plus bank holidays. To align with our client’s objectives, they offer three fully compensated volunteer days, providing all staff with the opportunity to serve the community in which they live in.
