We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a talented and motivated User Interface (UI) Developer to join our client's dynamic team in Bucharest.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing web applications for the financial services sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilising modern front-end technologies and delivering high-quality user interfaces for critical financial platforms.
* Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces for financial web applications.
* Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and user experience.
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
* Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for all interfaces.
* Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a high standard of quality.
* Optimise front-end performance to deliver a fast and smooth user experience.
* Work closely with the product team to understand requirements and transform them into technical specifications.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
* Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies, trends, and best practices.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Front-End Developer, with a focus on UI development.
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
* Experience in using front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, npm).
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
* Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Familiarity with financial services or fintech products is highly desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
* Experience with TypeScript.
* Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
* Experience with UI testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
* Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.
* Knowledge of performance optimisation techniques for web applications.
* Exposure to back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, REST APIs).
