Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant (SEN Experience Required)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Pay Rate: £14.65 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (Immediate Start)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities
Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and support the delivery of SEN-focused lessons
Offer one-to-one or small group support to help students engage with the curriculum
Help with behavioural support and encourage positive behaviour in class
Support students in social and emotional development, promoting independence where possible
Work closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adapt support as needed
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational setting is essential
Understanding of different SEN needs and strategies to support these students effectively
Ability to adapt and be flexible to the individual needs of students
Patient, empathetic, and positive attitude toward supporting students with additional needs
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Willingness to undertake further training if required
