Unqualified Secondary Teaching Assistant (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Liverpool
£12.82 - £14.15 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

About the Role
Vision for Education is excited to offer this specialised training and employment opportunity for individuals keen to start a career in education. We work closely with secondary schools across Liverpool, ensuring that successful candidates receive high-quality training and paid classroom experience.
Once you have completed a successful interview, safeguarding checks, and suitability assessments, we will support you in securing a paid placement within a secondary school setting. You will gain first-hand experience of working with students aged 11-16 and develop the essential skills needed to support their learning and well-being.
Before starting your placement, you will complete a comprehensive training programme, designed in collaboration with Vision for Education and experienced secondary school educators. This will equip you with the key skills required to work effectively as a Secondary Teaching Assistant.
Your Responsibilities
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, your role will vary depending on the needs of the school. You may:
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Work with small groups of students to boost their understanding and confidence
Provide one-to-one support for students with additional learning needs
Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement in learning
Help students develop their study skills, motivation, and confidence
Support the pastoral care of students, ensuring they feel safe and supported in school
