Job Opportunity: Trusts and Probate Solicitor
The Role
Marble Talent Group is recruiting for an experienced Trusts and Probate Solicitor on behalf of a well-established law firm based in Chichester. This firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services, specialising in Private Client, Residential Conveyancing, and Family Law.
As a Trusts and Probate Solicitor, your responsibilities will include:
* Probate and Estate Administration – Managing a range of cases, from straightforward estates below the inheritance tax threshold to complex taxable estates requiring IHT400 forms and tax relief applications.
* Intestate Estates – Handling cases where the deceased died without a will, ensuring compliance with intestacy rules and procedures.
* Trusts Knowledge – Understanding the tax principles affecting trusts, advising on their application in wills and during the creation of lifetime trusts.
* Life Interest and Discretionary Trusts – Setting up and administering trusts arising from wills, including the dissolution of discretionary trusts when necessary.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have 3+ years of PQE in a relevant area. STEP membership is desirable but not essential.
* Be a team player who is flexible, self-sufficient, and capable of managing a diverse client base, including older clients and high-net-worth individuals.
* Possess strong IT skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Be able to work independently while receiving support and supervision as required.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
* Generous Holiday Allowance: 25 days per year, increasing annually up to 30 days, plus paid leave over Christmas and an extra day off for your birthday.
