Travel Trade Account Executive
This award winning boutique travel PR & marketing agency provide a bespoke representation service to a portfolio of clients, including tour operators & tourist boards. They are now looking for a Travel Trade Account Manager to join their successful team to promote overseas destinations to the UK travel industry. This is an exciting and varied role which involves working with travel trade partners and suppliers to promote the interests of assigned clients in all aspects of account management.
Travel Trade Account Executive - Role & Responsibilities:
In conjunction with Account Director, ensure smooth running of designated accounts. To include developing and presenting an annual plan, carrying out an agreed activity programme to achieve set goals and objectives.
Effective budget management, tracking expenditure and ensuring all administrative tasks are managed effectively.
Co-ordinate sales & training programmes, representing clients and pro-actively selling product & itinerary ideas to the trade at meetings, roadshows & events.
Research & implement promotional, joint marketing and sponsorship opportunities which align with clients brand values and objectives.
Manage assigned client's social media activities including postings, monitoring and reporting.
Co-ordinate and attend client events which include networking events, roadshows, exhibitions, consumer and trade shows to promote clients and their products.
Writing and presentation of training sessions to trade partners.
Organisation & administration of overseas Fam trips and escorting when required (approx. 2 per year).
Creation of marketing material for e-newsletters & trade mailers.
Supporting with developing new industry contacts and idea generation for new client pitches.
General office support to include call answering & general administration.
Travel Trade Account Executive - Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years experience in the travel industry in a similar role in destination representation, account management, trade sales, or agency sales.
Marketing / PR experience would be beneficial with ability to manage client social media strategies and activities and implement joint marketing activities.
Confidence and ability to carry out presentations & training sessions for trade partners.
Outgoing with excellent networking skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers & trade partners.
Highly organised, with ability to manage and prioritise workload according to deadlines, with exceptional administration skills and attention to detail.
Flexible, self motivated approach with a willingness to work across multiple projects and attend a variety of events across the UK.
Excellent written English
Full driving license is a must and willingness to drive in USA when needed.
Travel Trade Account Executive - Key Benefits:
Salary of £30k to £34k depending on experience + ad hoc bonus
Hybrid working - 2 days in West Sussex office, 3 days at home (after initial training).
NB. This is an exciting role which includes attendance at a variety of shows & events throughout the year, so weekend / evening work is to be expected.
Free parking at the office and 5 mins from train station.
