Transport Planner Salary dependent on experience, BA4 6LQ, Shifts between 05:00 - 21:00 M-F, Permanent. Due to staff relocation, a family ran distribution warehouse has an exciting opportunity for a Transport planner to join their team. You will be working across their warehouse facility as well as distribution throughout the UK & Europe with their own fleet of 60 vehicles. Cost-Effective Route Planning Supporting smooth running of the transport operation Prioritising work to meet time deadlinesFull time, geographical knowledge, route planning, liaising with customers, drivers and other departments, ability to work in a team and problem solve independently. This would be an ideal role for someone who has been an admin or planning clerk in a transport or traffic environment. Company information - This company has been established for over 40 years in the FMCG sector offering cross dock, storage and picking services from their own warehouse facility. You will be working as part of a dynamic team but also some loan working will be required. Located in the BA4 area. Monday to Friday with shifts between 05:00-21:00, on call rota to cover weekend & bank holidays. Requirements - We would expect the successful Transport Planner to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the geographical area, be an efficient communicator and have the ability to problem solve in a cost-effective manner. It would also be beneficial for them to have an understanding of Tachograph legislation with a keen eye for detail.
