Job Description
We are delighted to be working on behalf of a reputable container transport company in Felixstowe who are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for a dedicated and proactive Traffic Operator to join their team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prioritising delivery requirements
* Analysing and routing vehicles in the most efficient way
* Liaising with the warehouse team regarding weight, space and capacity
* Monitoring vehicle progress and rerouting according to updates
* Communicating routing decisions to drivers
* Liaising effectively with clients and customers
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of two years’ experience in the routing of containers
* Transport experience is a necessity
* The ability to be meticulous and consistent with close attention to detail
* Computer literate with previous knowledge of Destin8 and the port VBS system
* The ability to work under pressure is essential
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable with an excellent attitude to Customer ServiceBefore You Apply
