Job Description
Copello have partnered with an established defence business in the recruitment of a Transfer of Technololgy Lead. This role will be based 2-3 days onsite out of either their Stevenage or Bristol office. This role is paying up to £55,000 depending on experience.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
In this role, you will work alongside the Transfer of Technology team to ensure that the hardware design can be successfully manufactured within the customer's home country. You will play a key part in developing new governance strategies and approaches to achieve these goals. The team is responsible for the design definition of the Land Ceptor Ground Based Air Defence products, including system physical architecture, supplier management, and equipment qualification and certification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the coordination of activities related to transferring hardware designs for manufacturing under licence in Europe.
* Collaborate with the Transfer of Technology team to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer needs in their home country.
* Develop and implement new governance strategies and approaches to support the transfer of technology.
* Oversee product and design transfer, ensuring that all technical and logistical aspects are effectively managed.
* Manage complex product configurations and change management across multiple stakeholders.
* Travel nationally and internationally across Europe to work with customers, partners, and external suppliers.
What We’re Looking For:
* A highly motivated self-starter who can manage multiple tasks and priorities independently and as part of a team.
* Proven experience in delivering complex hardware or programmes, ideally on an international scale.
* Experience in transferring products and designs across countries, with an understanding of the challenges involved.
* Strong background in managing complex product configurations and change management.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to travel nationally and internationally within Europe.
* Ideally, a degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
