Trainee Timber Frame Estimator
Are you someone who is detail-oriented with good numerical skills and a strong passion to progress and learn?
At Scotframe we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to help provide pricing and quotations in line with specific architectural drawings and specifications.
Scotframe is part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland and have been helping homeowners achieve their dreams for 35 years. We supply award winning timber frame kits for self-build and commercial home developers across the UK.
What we're looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven individual to join us as a Trainee Estimator. No prior experience is required-just a willingness to learn and an interest in working in construction or from an architectural background would be a bonus. The following skills and attributes will help you succeed in this role:
Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
An interest in working within a Timber Frame environment
A structured, deadline-driven approach to work.
A team player who can also manage tasks independently.
A problem solver eager to learn new systems and processes.What you will be doing:
As a Trainee Estimator, you will receive training to support your learning. Your responsibilities will include:
Liaising with various internal and external departments to ensure projects progress through the system from order to delivery
Support the wider estimating team in obtaining material quotes from external suppliers
Producing competitive quotations at given margins to sustain & grow the business
