Trainee SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity in Levenshulme Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Trainee SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position begins in January and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance. The weekly pay for this position ranges from £419.25 to £500, depending on experience and qualifications. About the Role This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. You will work closely with teachers, SEND staff, and students to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Supporting Students with SEND: Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal goals. One-to-One and Small Group Support: Work directly with individual students or small groups to address specific learning or behavioural needs. Classroom Assistance: Support teachers in managing the classroom environment and adapting lessons to meet the needs of SEND students. Promoting Independence: Encourage students to develop their independence and self-confidence, equipping them with skills for future success. Behavioural Support: Help implement positive behaviour strategies, working with students to develop coping mechanisms and promote a calm learning atmosphere. Resource Preparation: Assist in creating and organising teaching materials tailored to the needs of individual students. Monitoring Progress: Collaborate with teachers and SEND coordinators to track student progress and provide input for Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Willingness to Learn: No previous experience is required, but a commitment to undergoing training and developing in the role is essential.
