An excellent opportunity for an experienced Toolmaker (Grinder) to join a well-established company Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Salary: Up to £16.50 Per Hour, Depending on Experience (£32,604 per annum based on 38 hours per week) Location: Bideford EX39. Schedule: 5 Days - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 12:00 or 4 Days - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 18:00 (Friday / Saturday overtime when available) About The Company: Situated in Bideford the company manufacture small to medium sized precision machined components for a range of industries including aerospace, medical, motor sport, oil and gas. Capabilities allow the manufacture of low volume through to high volume components. They are now looking for an Experienced Toolmaker to join their team. Role & Responsibilities: * Set, Program & Operate semi-automatic CNC and manual grinding machines ensuring parts are correct to drawing specifications * Running batch work, checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment * Developing machining strategies with Engineering for new and existing parts * Creation of program / machine setting sheets * Filling in paperwork in accordance with company procedures * Completing daily machine checks * Maintaining a safe and clean working environment Candidate Requirements Essential: * Tool making experience (minimum 3 years) * Grinding experience (minimum 3 years) * Reading and understanding engineering drawings * Following job route cards (process sheets) * Basic IT knowledge * Good engineering knowledge Desirable: * Cylindrical grinding experience * Ability to use a variety of toolroom machinery (Mills, Lathes, Surface Grinder) Company Benefits: * Working week 38 hours * 5 Days - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 12:00 or 4 Days - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 18:00 * Friday / Saturday overtime when available * Remuneration: £16.50 per hour (guide) adjusted depending upon experience * Holidays 25 days per year plus bank holidays * Enhanced company pension scheme * Death in service benefit If you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.
