Job Description

Toolroom Technician We are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing company based just outside of Beccles who are looking for an experienced tool room technician to service, maintenance and repair moulds to ensure availability for production as required. The working hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm Company Benefits * Holiday allowance is 33 days (this includes bank hols) * Life Assurance is x2 salary * Group Income Protection for anyone that is off long term sick of over 6 months for a maximum of 2 years * Free swim session at Bungay every other Sunday * Local discounted gym * Food Fridays (every Friday we have a treat on site e.g. sausage rolls/fruit/donuts) * Large free car park * A summer family fun day * Christmas hampers Technical Skills, Knowledge, Systems Knowledge (and associated skill level) •Knowledge of all tooling types on site and the associated plastics moulding processes •Ability to complete Microsoft Office documents including Word and Excel Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent qualifiers) • City & Guilds Level 2 in engineering qualification • Machine shop experience Duties and Responsibilities • To carry out mould servicing and repair to the required standard and timing to ensure tools are available for production on time and to plan. • To carry out minor tooling repairs, modification of ancillary parts as required. • To liaise with external contractors regarding external refurbishments. • To complete tooling records detailing all servicing and repair work carried out. • To ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition in accordance with site BRC and 6S standards and always being mindful of H&S requirements. • To work as part of a team and using your own initiative in both planned and emergency breakdown situations. • The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed. Such variations are a common occurrence and would not themselves justify the re-evaluation of the post.
