Time-Served Plater – Chesterfield
iRecruit UK is currently seeking an experienced Time-Served Plater to join a well-established steel fabrication business in Chesterfield. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering long-term career stability and development opportunities.
Job Details:
* Position: Time-Served Plater
* Location: Chesterfield
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday
* Shift: 06:00 AM – 16:30 PM
* Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch + two paid 15-minute breaks
* Pay Rate: £15 - £17 per hour (probation) | Up to £18 per hour post-probation (DOE)
* Holidays: 18 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
* Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate, optional
* Perks: Free tea & coffee provided on-site
* Start Date: Immediate start available following a successful interview
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabrication & Plating in a medium to heavy workshop environment
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality work
* Marking out and fabricating steel components – minimal JIG work involved
* Ensuring precision and quality in all fabrication tasks
Requirements:
* Time-served Plater with relevant fabrication experience
* Ability to work independently and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong marking-out skills are essential
* Experience in steel fabrication and plating
