£35,000 plus benefits
Purpose of the Test Engineer:
Our client is looking for an experienced Test Electro Mechanical Technician to work across our client to develop the next generation of their products. Reporting to the System Integration & Test Manager, this is a great opportunity to use your industrial development experience, with a great team and build relationships across the diverse Engineering departments. You will be part of a team of eight engineers developing and maintaining the next generation of products, with the opportunity to work alongside software, physics, mechanical and electronics disciplines.
The post is 6 months ongoing and possible permanent
Your responsibilities as the Test Engineer:
* Operating in the Development and Test team, implementing, and driving critical thinking, demonstrating, and developing technical competence with speed. Making sure that the development program is delivered on planned timescales and suitable counter measures are implemented where needed.
* Responsibility for the testing and verification of new technologies from prototype bread board systems through to final production. These robust systems include integration with sophisticated software, mechanical, electronics and fluid systems to meet our customers’ high expectations.
* Working across departments from a verification perspective, developing rapport and engagement, whilst meeting agreed outcomes including quality, performance, and time to market.
* Technical specialist in verification matters, whilst ensuring and maintaining a professional and safe working environment.
Test Engineer Experience will include:
* Engineering based education or time-served experience in a relevant industry
* Working in a multidisciplinary development team to build industrial components and prototypes
* Knowledge on topics covering software, electronics, and mechanical engineering, and great problem-solving ability.
* Familiar with working safely in an engineering environment with high voltages, pressures and flammable liquids.
You will be part of a dynamic team in which there is a high focus on delivering results and continuous improvement, but also where having fun and teamwork is very important. It's a fast-paced environment, a consultative role, where you will get to partner with people to achieve their strategic business goals.
Test Engineer hours:
Monday to Friday days 37.5 flexible
