Job Description
Role: Test Automation Engineer - Playwright
Location: Cardiff
Style: Hybrid
Rate: up to £400 per day (inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months (initially – view to extend)
Role Description
* This is a key role within Data space in Admiral.
* QA Engineer will work in multi-disciplined squads focusing on optimising our DevSecOps model of delivery.
* The strategic vision is to optimise Admiral’s cloud presence and shift-left the testing process, particularly focusing on in-sprint test automation.
Key responsibilities
* Experience of working in a multi-discipline integrated team, refining and prioritising a backlog and delivering in an Agile methodology
* Defining tools and frameworks to develop and maintain test automation
* Work closely with the development team to define strategy and best practices
* Providing clear and accurate documentation for the tests and test automation
* Integrating automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline
* Continuously updating of skills by following advancements in testing and test automation.
Key Skills:
* Extensive experience in Testing and Test automation.
* Strong experience in building, enhancing complex test automation framework using Playwright with typescript.
* Strong experience in BDD with Cucumber or similar framework
* Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components.
* Experience in integrating automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline with Azure DevOps.
* Experience on yaml/powerShell scripting.
* Knowledge of working in an agile environment and the role of QA in agile ceremonies
* Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, and Git
