CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist, to join a global materials manufacturing company, based near Skelmersdale, on a full time, permanent basis.
Salary:
£28,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience.
The Company:
Our client is a global leader in manufacturing glass for architectural, automotive and technical sectors. They are also involved with the decarbonisation of the glassmaking process. Having recently completed a novel hydrogen firing trial, they are incorporating more green electricity into the process, including implementing innovative carbon capture technologies. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Technologist to join them. Location:
The Technologist position will be based at the company's site near Skelmersdale, easily commutable by road from Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Manchester and surrounding areas. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.
Your main duties will involve:
Key responsibilities in glass lamination products development.
Practical site-based activities and theoretical work.
Develop and assess the performance of new lamination products via specialist analytical equipment.
Oversee service and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
Science or Engineering degree qualified with laboratory experience.
Practical and theoretical knowledge of glass products and processing is advantageous.
Knowledge of spectral measurements and/or weathering tests is desirable.
