Job Description

Our client, a leading consultancy in the Water Sector, is seeking a Waste Water Process Technical Director to join their team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead business development and process engineering for transformative projects, contributing to critical infrastructure both in the UK and internationally. As an industry leader, you'll collaborate on innovative solutions to address some of society’s most complex challenges. This position offers opportunities in all UK offices, Epsom, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Swansea. Experience Required for Technical Director: - Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer. - Influential and esteemed leadership, internally and externally. - Multi-disciplinary integration and co-ordination experience and expertise. - Up to date knowledge of innovation and treatment technologies available to market, or near market deployment, capital and operational costs assessments, GHG reduction techniques, whole life carbon assessments as well as knowledge of UK environmental and CDM regulations. - Nationally or international recognised subject matter expertise in your discipline(s), such as P removal (EBRP, Chemical, Novel Solutions), Treatment of emerging contaminants, Biosolids Treatment. - Commissioning experience - A strategic and transformational mindset. - Engineering Degree. - Chartered Status. - Experience leading technical teams in one or more of the technical disciplines. - Experience leading multi-discipline teams. - Experience working on major projects (over £10M). - Experience of being accountable for delivering technical / non-technical activities. - Experience of being accountable for quality & safety. - Can demonstrate implementing innovative solutions. - Known subject matter expert in industry - Experience growing teams & capabilities nationally. - Willingness to work in office location mentioned. Responsibilities of Technical Director: - Be accountable for technical delivery and safety, to high-quality levels across multiple projects and programmes, acting as a point of escalation for resolutions of complex technical matters. - Set the technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals, as well as acting as a subject-matter-expert. - Lead an agenda of technical excellence and continuous improvement in the practice whilst being accountable for quality assurance standards in design. - Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. - Accountable for quality assurance standards in design. - Grow, develop and manage the waste water process engineering capability within the practice. Bring pioneering innovation, contribute to advances in knowledge and understanding, and provide vision and inspiration to others. - Be a strategic partner for their Clients, sought out by them as a go-to person within your technical field
