Job Description

Package Description: We are seeking a Team Leader to join our supported living home in Bermondsey, Southwark. Looking for your next step in social care?  Are you a confident problem solver, creative thinker with excellent communication skills?  This is a part-time role requiring you to work 20 hours per week, and would be required to work flexible across the shift rota 24 hours per day 7 day per week.  This vacancy is open to Female applicants only, as the requirements of the role qualify as an occupational requirement under the Equalities Act 2010. Your skills and experience working in care could be a great match for our team leader role.  All you need is to be a role model for excellent support, who can inspire others and enable them to achieve their goals.  The support we provide is centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs this includes developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care and medication needs. In this role, you’ll also lead and support a team of support workers.   You will: Proven previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism  Relevant social care qualification or working towards  Previous management experience along with a management qualification is desirable Experience developing skills within a team  Be a confident problem solver and creative thinker with good communication skills  Resilience to overcome challenges   Your responsibilities: To empower the people we support to live the lives they want to lead  Provide great leadership and day-to-day supervision to a team of support workers.  Assist the locality manager in the supervision, coaching and mentoring of the team.  Provide direct care and support to the people we support and model best practice.  Co-ordinate the daily provision of support and activities for people we support to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient service.  You’ll have finances and other resources to manage, along with legal requirements and standards of care to meet.  Benefits Basic salary equates to £15.61 - £16.26 per hour - depending on qualifications and experience Sleep-ins paid at £60 extra (service dependent) Full-time salary equates to £30,541 - £31,808 per annum pro rata'd for part-time On-going training and career development including professional qualifications   Contributory pension   Cost of DBS check covered by us  Rota's are planned in advance around 4-6 weeks Access to Wagestream where you can track your basic salary and additional hours earnings throughout the month and stream (access) a portion of those earnings before your monthly pay date.
