Job Description

Are you an experienced SEN TA who has supported children with SEN on a 1:1 basis? Prospero Teaching are working with an excellent primary school in Salford that requires a patient, calm Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in EYFS. The children are based full-time in their mainstream classrooms, but require help to engage and progress with their learning activities. This is a full-time role to start in January. The Teaching Assistant needs to be able to provide effective interventions so you will need good knowledge of the curriculum and how to support children with SEN including traits of ADHD and autism. You must be confident with your behaviour management and be able to build good relationships with children, who can be challenging at times. You will need to be able to encourage children to participate in tasks when they are reluctant, and be a positive and reliable presence for them. You will be required to carry out general Teaching Assistant duties in class as well as work with the children you are supporting. This full-time SEN TA role is to start in January and is required for the full spring term and potentially ongoing until the end of the academic year. Essential requirements: Right to Work in the UK Enhanced DBS Relevant qualification such as degree or TA Level 2 or Level 3, or SEN qualification Professional references covering the last two full years Teaching Assistant experience in EYFS
