Our Oil and Gas client are recruiting for a Senior Talent Developer to join their team on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a great team in a busy front facing operational role.
The Senior Talent Developer’s primary focus is to provide career development support to employees, providing them with the tools and advice to drive forward their own career. The ideal candidate will have a Learning & development or HR operations background that understands the importance of creating a learning culture to support professional development, and what tools can be used to help support that ambition. Due to the front facing nature of the role, candidates should have a high attention to detail and be comfortable with executing work in a fast-paced environment to meet our campaign deadlines. Full training will be provided on tools and processes.
Main Activities
Having career discussions with your assigned employee group, providing them with the tools and advice to orient their choices and make career plans
Providing interview preparation support and CV advice for employees wishing to move roles
Provide guidance to employees and their managers on Personal Development and Individual Training plans, exploring different opportunities to learn, enhance knowledge and skills.
Advisor to Hiring Managers during Recruitment, supporting them review their team dynamics and future needs, using a ‘coaching for diversity’ technique to ensure the process is inclusive for all, and supporting Managers during interviews.
Coordinate our annual campaigns which involve Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Mobility and Manager Reviews.
Using your experience to come up with ideas for continuous improvement and owning and delivering your own personal projects.
With regard to behavioural, managerial and leadership skills, by defining each employee’s development goals and proposing appropriate actions while drawing on available resources: evaluations, training, coaching, etc.
By conducting career assessments at specified intervals or upon request.
By defining objectives for each employee’s professional development within the position’s scope and/or company as a whole.
By assisting employees at each major stage of a job change (analyzing job postings, drafting a resume, preparing for hiring interviews, etc., and providing support when problems arise).
Provides for appropriate staffing for all jobs within the position’s scope while monitoring compliance with Group policies (diversity, etc.) and ensuring that resources and jobs are allocated in a way that meets the organization’s needs.
Ensures the integrity, transparency and fairness of the internal mobility process and plays a role in decision-making.
Coordinates mobility activities within the position’s scope, within the segment and across company, including posting job openings, writing job descriptions and selecting candidates.
Manages the general recruitment process within area of scope for ongoing replacement, recruitment and moves
Experience & Qualifications:
Degree in business management with Human Resources or CIPD qualification (or equivalent) required; post graduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Learning and Development or related field desirable.
Evidence of continuing professional development in HR or Learning & Development related fields including coaching, assessment, psychometrics.
Successful experience with a strong HR and/or organizational development focus.
Previous experience in talent management advantageous.
Must have a demonstrable interest in self-development; coaching and mentoring.
