The products have given scientists and lab managers a much more convenient and controllable tool that allows them to do their work more effectively and get more reliable results. The role will involve the development of advanced testing instruments, modernising current products and developing completely new products. You will be given training on the current technology and will then be expected to bring a theoretical understanding that can become the basis for testing new concepts for new products and enhancements. You will become a source of technical knowledge across the business. The Role: R&D Systems Engineer Here are some of the things you’d be doing: • Helping to improve current technical approaches in existing products. • Being inventive to come up with concepts that can greatly improve current and future product performance. • Contributing to new product and technology discussions with your unique viewpoint so that the team can collectively develop new ideas to overcome technical barriers. • Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping, as well as technical documentation such as test plans and schematics. The Candidate: R&D Systems Engineer The successful candidate will be able to develop systems that include mechanical, electronic and software elements. We are also looking for: • A degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, robotics, electronics, or associated). • Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary environment. • Experience using different design tools along with interfacing hardware and software. • A practical mind-set with great communication skills
