The school is for children with a wide range of SEN learning difficulties from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) (ASD). In addition to learning needs some pupils have sensory needs including visual impairments, hearing impairments and multi-sensory impairments; some pupils also have complex medical needs.
The Teaching Assistant must be dedicated and an enthusiastic individual who can support SEN children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. Personal care may be involved.
The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants and support workers or graduates who have some experience in a similar role with SEN. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Previous experience in a similar setting
Support worker , youth worker , graduate , care assistant, learning support worker
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
