Part-Time Temporary Supply Teacher - Year 6 SATs Focus (English & Maths)
Location: Tunstall
Start Date: Monday 24th February 2025
End Date: Friday 18th July 2025
Hours: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM, Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
A valid DBS check on the update service is required for this position
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Temporary Supply Teacher to support Year 6 students in a Tunstall school as they prepare for their SATS.
This role will focus specifically on English and Maths, providing targeted support and reinforcement of key concepts. You will be working within a supportive school environment, contributing to the students' academic success and confidence.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English and Maths to Year 6 students.
Focus on SATs preparation, covering key curriculum areas and exam techniques.
Provide targeted support to students of varying abilities, addressing individual learning needs.
Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure continuity of learning.
Maintain accurate records of student progress.
Adhere to school policies and procedures.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6, is essential.
Proven ability to teach English and Maths effectively.
Strong understanding of the Year 6 SATs curriculum and assessment framework.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive learning environment.
