Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Planner based in Luton for one of our clients on a 9 Month Maternity Contract basis. Our client is a well-established wholesale distributor.
Summary of the Supply Chain Planner role
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
Location: Luton
Type of Contract: Fixed term contract 9 months
Hours: Working 5 out of 7 days including weekends
Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planner
* Plan inbound deliveries to meet customer requirements whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
* Develop and maintain demand forecasts.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels and conduct regular inventory audits.
* Coordinate and liaise with Suppliers and Logistics providers.
* Develop and execute production plans.
* Analyse supply chain performance metrics and prepare reports on KPIs.
* Risk management.
Requirements for a successful Supply Chain Planner
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
* Proven Supply Chain Planner experience.
* Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, inventory management and logistics.
* Strong IT skills with advanced Excel and proficiency in using supply chain management software (ERP systems).
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Attention to detail with strong organisational and multitasking skills.
