Job Description
A leading bridge construction company is currently looking for a Structural Steel Estimator for a full-time position in West Midlands.
Salary: £55k - £70k (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Duties:
Review tender drawings and other documentation.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare material and labour cost estimates.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
Analyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare detailed and accurate quotations.
Participate in project handover meetings.
Sourcing of pre-project information and site visits.
Manage tenders and meet deadlines.Requirements:
Experience in structural steelwork fabrication estimating.
Good understanding of construction methods and ability to measure drawings.
Proficiency in MS Office 365.
Use of 2D AutoCAD is beneficial.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
