GSL Education are currently partnering with a SEN school in Bournemouth, in the pursuit of a dynamic and dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher, with a vacancy for new academic year, starting in September. There is scope to start sooner too! About the school: The school is a special educational institution dedicated to helping secondary-aged students prepare for a safe, happy, and productive adult life. They focus on building strong relationships that empower students to face challenges in a supportive environment. Their balanced curriculum combines academic learning with social development, ensuring that each student’s unique needs and goals are met. Many of the students have an Education, Health, and Care Plan, and they also support those at risk of exclusion or who have been excluded from mainstream schools. They have small classrooms maintained by teacher and TA building strong relationship with students. About the Role: As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide accessible and inclusive education for students, working with numerous support staff. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN Provide individualised support and guidance to students, promoting their academic and personal development Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up to date Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education If you think you are an ideal candidate for this role, we invite you to apply as a Special Education Teacher in Bournemouth.  Please submit your CV now to be considered!
