Job Description

Estimator – Social Housing Projects Location: Swanley (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home) Salary: Competitive salary based on experience  Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in social housing? We are seeking a talented Estimator to join a leading Tier 2 contractor, specializing in a wide range of social housing projects. From decent homes and kitchen/bathroom refurbishments to facade remediation and SHDF/Eco projects, you’ll be involved in large-scale developments ranging from £2 million up to £400 million. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for social housing projects. Work on a variety of projects including decent homes, kitchen/bathroom refurbishments, facade remediation, and SHDF/Eco works. Analyse tender documentation, site surveys, and project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Requirements: Proven experience as an Estimator in the social housing sector. Knowledge of social housing frameworks and refurbishments (including decent homes, kitchens, bathrooms, and facade works). Experience working on projects valued between £2 million and £400 million. Excellent understanding of project costing, tendering, and risk management. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
