Small Works Manager
Exeter
Sphere Solutions is seeking a Small Works Manager for a growing contractor in Exeter. This is a unique opportunity to establish and manage a startup division, entering the world of Small Works, a complete startup division of this business.
If you have a background in small works management, a strong desire to manage a complete business unit in its entirety and have the drive and ambition to succeed, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and manage the team, ensuring efficient operations
* Oversee business development and client relationships
* Actively tender and seek business opportunities
* Manage operations, project progress, and financial reporting – cradle to grave process.
* Set and review staff targets, project plans, and performance
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance and address contract disputes
* Lead recruitment and staff development as and when required
Skills:
* Strong background in small works construction management
* Client development, a network of potential leads and clients
* Proven leadership experience with contracts, teams, tendering and P&L
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Relevant qualifications and driving licence
