As Site Inventory Manager you will have a key role to play in ensuring that inventory processes and procedures are managed in line with SLAs and KPIs. You will be actively involved with and drive continuous improvement at site and national level developing and improving processes and reducing cost, ensuring effective SOP training and communication whilst delivering world class service and results. Responsible for your team’s performance, means you’ll work closely to deliver results together across your department. Accountability for stock commercial value of receipted inventory and reconciliation against warehouse processes will also fall under your remit.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
Ensure the management and maintenance of the systems and programmes that control the stock management processes within the warehouse contractual obligations
Manage and monitor all programmed stock checks to maintain the integrity and availability of stock within the distribution centre in accordance with service efficiency levels, agreed measures of accuracy and agreed performance management measures
Develop and maintain effective inventory process, incorporating warehouse management systems
Effectively prioritise local stock and strategic stock in order to provide high levels of customer service
Support optimisation of stock location management on site to drive efficiency and optimise availability of stock, working closely with the central planning team, to review activity heat maps and replenishment profiles
Produce national management reports
Analyse stock adjustments, trend analysis
Communicate and liaise with site management team to maintain and improve stock integrity, quality and procedural compliance
Manage a team of Stock Management Operatives to complete a programme of stock PI checks in accordance with national procedures, ensuring compliance with Standing Financial Instructions and Contractual Obligations
Assist in the development and undertaking of a programme of Compliance Management and Controls
Actively drive and support a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to larger projects and initiatives across the network and at local site level
Work with the Regulatory Compliance Manager to action and control product recalls on-site
Supervise a programme of quality and accuracy checks within the warehouse operation, ensuring that procedures are followed and service levels maintained
Undertake audits on the warehouse integrity and distribution processes, and formulate recommendations to improve stock availability & service levels
Support colleague engagement and development across the Site Inventory Stock Teams
Create and maintain a positive working environment
Ensure effective recruitment and deployment of resources across own teams
Maintain the integrity and availability of stock in line with service efficiency levels
About You

Computer literate with experience of Excel, Word and Google Suite
Work well in a team and good leadership skills,
An understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
Ability to work to targets and timescales,
Previous experience in a Stock based role
Analytical with an ability to problem solve
