We are currently recruiting a Shift Technician to join the O&M department of a 24/7 process plant in Worthing, West Sussex. This bespoke waste to energy power station, using thermal treatment technology, will produce energy from waste biomass in an environmentally friendly manner.

Responsibilities... reporting to the Shift Team Leader you will be responsible for: shift activities including Plant & Control Room operations & maintenance, ensuring it is operating in accordance with environmental parameters & legislation. Managing the site safety systems. Monitoring plant performance & developing new ideas & measures to improve performance, reliability & efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience... To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised apprenticeship/ONC/ HNC/HND/ONC in Electrical Engineering or related Process Operations using SCADA or DCS Systems. A background in O&M within a relevant industry (waste management, heavy process) would be helpful. Candidates from Pharmaceutical, Cement, Food Manufacturing or other Process Manufacturing will also be considered as will those with an ex-forces background (perhaps Marine Engineering).
This is a shift role & salary is £32,000 & operates in a day & night shift 4 on a 4 off shift pattern.
