About the Role:
Wills Consultants are looking for a Shift Engineer for an industry leader in recycling based in Wellingborough.
The Shift Engineer will receive:
* Basic salary of £44,000
* Shift allowance
* On-call allowance
* Health cash plan
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Much more
Hours of Work: 2 shift rotation: 6am – 2.30pm / 1.30pm – 10pm Monday to Friday.
Call out between 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday and Weekends (48 hours) on a 4-weekly rota.
As a Shift Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Minimising production downtime by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and responding to unplanned breakdowns within the stipulated time frames
* Responding to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner
* Carrying out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments, and company policies and procedures
* Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop
* Ensuring parts are booked out correctly to help control stock levels in stores
Requirements: As a Shift Engineer you will need:
* Electrical qualification – 18th/19th edition or equivalent.
* Experience working with production process machinery, e.g., granulators, belt conveyors, hammermills, extrusion machines, colour separators, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, shafts, etc.
* To have the ability to diagnose faults and to test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and are able to read and understand electrical drawings.
