Job Description

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a key business and influential player in the UK anaerobic digestion/biogas sector to recruit a SHEQ Manager for its site in Northern Ireland. The strategically important SHEQ Manager role comes with a salary of up to £66,000, a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, you will: * Lead health, safety, environmental, and quality processes and management systems across a portfolio of anaerobic digestion assets * Carry out weekly and monthly inspections * Manage the PAS110 certification * Provide specific and relevant SHEQ advice to operational staff on site * Develop a SHEQ-centric culture, ensuring operational staff view SHEQ as an important part of their role * Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across sites * Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant SHEQ legislation and regulations * Implement and maintain ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001 standards * Help standardise HSEQ practices across the company * Attend and host SHEQ meetings, both internally and externally * Attend sites and the office near Cambridge when required * Other duties as required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: * A higher education/qualification in Health and Safety, at least NEBOSH General Certificate * Experience in communicating with the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies * An appropriate membership is desired, e.g., IEMA, IOSH * At least 5 years of experience in a similar role * Experience in the anaerobic digestion or energy-from-waste sector; experience in a process plant would be a backup Personal skills The SHEQ Manager role would suit someone who is: * Proactive and able to implement ideas from the bottom up * A strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal English skills * A people person who is passionate about driving genuine change Salary and benefits of the SHEQ Manager role * Up to £66,000 starting salary * Car allowance * Private healthcare * Death in service * 33 days holiday (including BH) * EV car scheme * Additional benefits INDREN Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
