Job Description
We are actively looking for a dedicated General Sheet Metal Operative to join our client in Calne who specialises in sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining.
Key Duties:
* To support the smooth running of daily production processes
* Operate pre-set CNC machinery including Lathes, Milling and Press Brake
* Assemble finished products using various hand tools
* Carry out mechanical and visual inspections
* Ensure that work is conducted in an efficient and professional manner
Job Requirements:
* Previous experience in sheet metal and fabrication is essential
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential
* Experience in using hand tools and power tools for metal fabrication
* Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions given to accurately
* Competent in using inspection equipment including Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, screw and plain plug gauges
Pay:
* £12.75 - £13.50 per hour depending on experience
* Overtime available during busy periods
Shifts:
* Monday to Thursday 0800 – 1700
* Friday 0800 – 1300
