Sheet Metal Estimator
Cambridge

£40,000 - £45,000
Our Client are looking to recruit a Sheet Metal Estimator based in Cambridge, Teversham area
Primary Purpose: To quote for new sales enquiries for complex machined components as part of the Sales Team goal to achieve the annual sales budget.
Key Responsibilities
· Working from Customer drawings to produce detailed quotations to the company standard format.
· Liaising with customers on all levels to ensure the information received is correct and that the quote they receive is for the right product for their project. Supplying quotations for services; compiling and submitting technical information where necessary.
· Producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings.
· Create full routing information including labour and material costing etc
· Inputting RFQ's and new sales orders onto the CRM and ERP systems
· Support Contract Review by ensuring the correct procedures are followed through the pre manufacturing activities
· Following and mapping process flow
· Active member of Customer Advocacy Teams
· Maximise sales by continually analysing repeat orders and ensuring profit margins are maintained through the utilisation of JobSmart™
· Pro-actively seek new business by targeting existing customers through upselling, consultative selling and seeking referrals.
· Assist in the execution of sales growth strategy
· To plan production methods for parts requiring production engineering including the completion of process routing sheets.
· Ensure correct tooling is available to produce components in an efficient manner.

Sheet metal and fabrication

Experience on ERP systems
Very good knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel
Knowledge gained through a recognised engineering apprenticeship
Proven negotiation skills
