Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as a Service Manager.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
Position
The Service Manager is responsible for the management of day-to-day operational site activities ensuring that BJF Group site procedures and processes are in place and operating effectively. Alongside this you will ensure that all works and activities undertaken by both the Delivery team and Supply Chain are provided to the required standard and in accordance with BJF Group and the client’s policy and procedures.
Reporting directly to the Regional Facilities Manager, the wider scope of our Service Manager's remit is to provide leadership, motivation, mentoring and line management responsibilities for the site-based teams, whilst keeping a service-focused attitude within a flexible business environment.
There will be a focus on the delivery of works, both planned and reactive, through effective supply-chain management and resource allocation in line with the needs of the client - maintaining a proactive approach, allowing the team to be agile and adaptable when the need arises.
Requirements
Managerial experience at Contract Manager or Senior Supervisor level within technical and or hard services is essential
To have a 'can do' service-focused attitude, flexibility and adaptability to changing business requirements
Able to think on your feet and change approach as required
Hold an industry recognised based qualification i.e., City & Guilds / NVQ or similar in an appropriate engineering subject
Practical experience must include recruitment and line management/supervisory experience
