Job Description

Service Charge Accountant – Birmingham - £40-45k+ Benefits We’re working with one of the largest property management companies in the UK. With an extensive portfolio comprising mostly developer and freehold estates, they are now longer to strengthen their centralised Service Charge Accounts team with an additional service charge accountant hire as follows: * 3-5 years’ service charge accounting experience with full knowledge of the associated legislative framework (financial and leasehold) * Systems savvy with good usability of Microsoft office * Working Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm from a Birmingham office base (with some hybrid working once settled) * Prepare and manage service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties. * Service Charge Accounts reconciliation * Audit & Compliance * Provide support and guidance to the wider Service Charge Accounting team * Identify and implement process improvements * Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with residents, colleagues and senior stakeholders * Account qualification beneficial but not essential (professional accreditation can be supported in post once settled) In addition to a structured career path the successful Service Charge Accountant can expect an excellent starting basic salary (c£40-45k+ with some room for negotiation for those particularly experienced/qualified) alongside a corporate benefits package comprising pension and private healthcare.
