Build Maintain Recruit is working with a multi-discipline consultancy that provides engineering, design, and surveying expertise to the construction industry. They are well-positioned to work collaboratively with stakeholders and property professionals, with offices spread across the UK. There services include Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transport Planning, Highways Engineering and Building Surveying
Role Overview:
They seek an experienced and motivated Senior Transport Planner to join the Bristol office. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative and practical transport solutions that help our clients unlock development opportunities and secure planning consents. You will work on a diverse range of projects, from small-scale developments to large strategic housing sites, providing smart, integrated, and sustainable transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies and provide pre-application advice.
Lead development masterplanning efforts.
Prepare Transport Assessments and Transport Statements.
Develop and implement Travel Plans, offering Travel Coordinator services as needed.
Represent clients at Examinations in Public, Planning Appeals, and Public Inquiries.
Perform traffic modelling, junction capacity assessments, and micro-simulation network modelling using software such as VISSIM, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, and TRANSYT. Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in transport planning within a consultancy environment.
Proficiency in transport modelling software and methodologies.
Strong understanding of current transport policies, guidelines, and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. What They Offer:
