Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity for a SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to be based at our clients premises in West Cumbria.
About the Role:
Answering technical queries, requests for information and resolving non-conformances.
Producing and checking structural calculations and details that are necessary for site modifications (with approval of the permanent works team).
Carrying out site surveys.
Reviewing contractor method statements, risk assessments and inspection plans etc.
Reviewing temporary works designs.
Face to face interfacing with construction to understand requirements, issues and work priorities, assessing any impacts against the design and scope of work required.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
Degree or HNC qualified.
Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) with in post-Chartership experience.
A pro-active, self-starter with good communication, analytical and team working skills.
Understanding of CDM Regulations.
Experienced STAAD user.
Calculation production using Excel.
IOSH Working/Managing Safely or equivalent
Design Tools/Software:
Effective computer skills latest editions of Microsoft Office software.
