Oxford City Council are looking for someone to join their Planning Service Team as a Senior Spatial Information Officer to assist with managing and maintaining the Geographic Information System (GIS), in partnership with ICT colleagues and other services across the council, including its wholly owned companies.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills to take responsibility for ensuring data is up to date and standardised with the data being accessible and usable both online for residents and customers and internally to Stakeholders to assist with decision taking.
The City Council is progressing a number of interlinked ICT system upgrade projects including a new GIS system and a review of the other Planning and Asset Management Systems. The successful candidate will assist in aspects of the roll out processes and be involved in training users from across the council.
The role will also serve as a point of contact for the National Underground Asset Register, and lead Planning and Regulation Services involvement in Street Naming and Numbering and Land Charges.
